Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. Meet Francesca & Her Boys

This is Francesca and her family!


Francesca Klambia is a 36 year old widowed mother of three boys, age 10-13.
She has been widowed from her husband Daniel for 6 years.  Daniel died of
AIDS, which she and her youngest Nzioki  now carry.

  
When Daniel died, Francesca and her boys were exiled from their home and property.  They now
live on a isolated hilltop and try to live by farming a small plot.  Their
home is a 10'x12' clay brick hut with no water source closer than a 1/2 mile
traverse uphill on a foot path.


Can you imagine living in this space with 3 young men, ages 10 to 13?


 Building Francesca a home through James 1:27 is a project that is near and dear to our hearts. To be honest, when we started The Orange Bird, we had no idea that God would have us building a house for a lady on the other side of the world in our first 6 months of business...we were thinking small. 

Ephesians 3:14-21
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

God can do IMMEASURABLY more than all we ask or imagine. He has proved that already. We could not have imagined  that the prayers of a woman in Kenya would set in motion a story in which God used 2 housewives half-way around the world to help answer those prayers. And do not forget that you can play a part in that story, as well! We are part of her family...the family of God, and families should take care of one another.
