Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. Hello, Monday!

Hello, Monday.

Hello, new cause to support...The James 1:27 Project (which was founded by these four folks).


They care for orphans and widows in and around Machakos, Kenya.


Hello, lots of praying for Birdie's dad who is visiting the James 1:27 folks, right now, in Africa.


Hello, crocheting, sewing, and listing lots of things in our store...working feverishly with a goal in our hearts.
Hello, our dear sister living with AIDS in Kenya.
We know that your heart hurts because your husband died.
We see your precious sons in this photo.


We share your burden for one of them who also lives with the virus.
You don't know us, but we see you. You are in our hearts. God has moved us to show you love in a tangible way. The James 1:27 folks have told us that you need a new home and it will cost around $2000. That seems like so little for a house and yet such a big goal for two chicks with a little online store. A whole entire house...


Hello, God, we will do our best to help her out, but you are going to have to work a miracle. There is only so much time in a day for two chicks to accomplish something so big. Please help us to remember that nothing is impossible with You!! Father, light a fire in others to join us to help this woman and her boys. 

Hello, purpose and a renewed determination to make a difference from right here our own little nests.

Hello, Friends, Christmas is coming...lots of new things in The Orange Bird Shop and every bit of profit goes to build this woman a house. Help us help her!

  2. Sniff...Your comment to this mother, "You don't know us, but we see you. You are in our hearts. God has moved us to show you love in a tangible way." touched me deeply. I know that God sees you and Birdie and wants you to know that He sees you too. Ephesians 3:20-21 says, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."

    Praying that this goal will be met.
